The Miles Nelson Commercial (MNC) Range was launched.

Miles Nelson used their industry knowledge and engaged an experienced locksmith to develop the MNC range. The range offers high-quality mortice locks for an economical price.

It has been well received by locksmiths and specifiers.

SchlegelGiesse, part of the Tyman Group, provides sealing and joinery hardware solutions worldwide. The NZ distribution is brought under the Miles Nelson umbrella.

Driven to make a difference in the industry, Miles Nelson designed and manufactured their own range of handles, like the ‘Selim’ handle found on many homes built in that time.

Our early catalogue is a gem!

The early catalogue, printed in 1963, features many products still available from MN now. However, we have come a long way, especially when it comes to our catalogues.

The company began manufacturing its traditional hardware range.

Miles Nelson designed and manufactured their own range of hardware. This hardware was used in homes throughout New Zealand and can still be found in many homes today.

Miles Nelson’s original endeavors were focused on importing goods and producing equipment to assist with the war effort, namely the manufacturing of electric fencing and other products.
