Modern Interior Hardware – Obliq
The OBLIQ collection is a contemporary door hardware system defined by clean geometry, material responsibility and certified durability. Designed and manufactured in Italy, and co-designed with architect Sergio Baronchelli, OBLIQ brings together aesthetics, ergonomics and engineering in a refined architectural form.
A Minimalist Architectural Profile
OBLIQ is characterised by its linear silhouette and concealed rosette system. The absence of visible fixings allows the lever to sit cleanly against the door face, maintaining uninterrupted lines and supporting modern interior schemes.
Its square proportions and controlled detailing make it suitable for residential projects, multi-residential developments and commercial environments where consistency of hardware specification is required.
Recycled Aluminium Construction
The collection is manufactured from recycled aluminium — a material chosen for both its structural performance and environmental efficiency. Aluminium offers high resistance to wear and deformation, and can be reused repeatedly without loss of quality.
By utilising recycled material, OBLIQ supports responsible manufacturing while maintaining the durability expected in high-use applications.
Certified Performance
Technical reliability is central to the OBLIQ system.
The integrated R1 spring-load assembly system is CLASS 4 certified under EN 1906, representing the highest usage category within the standard. This certification confirms suitability for high-frequency environments such as commercial buildings, hospitality projects and residential developments.
All finishes within the OBLIQ range are:
-
GRADE 5 certified for salt spray corrosion resistance (EN 1670) – exceeding 480 hours
-
ISO 0 rated under ISO 2409 cross hatch testing – the highest classification for coating adhesion
These certifications provide assurance of long-term surface performance in both dry and humid conditions.
Coordinated Door Hardware System
OBLIQ is designed as a complete hardware solution. In addition to door levers, the collection includes:
-
Key hole escutcheons
-
Euro profile cylinder escutcheons
-
WC turn and release sets
-
Matching window handles
This coordinated approach enables a consistent specification across interior doors and windows, maintaining design continuity throughout a project.
Straightforward Installation
Installation has been considered as part of the overall design. The lever requires only three standard screws and does not demand specialist door preparation. A thread-locking grub screw ensures secure fixing over time.
Designed for Contemporary Interiors
Available in finishes including Matt Black (RAL 9005) and Matt White (RAL 9016), OBLIQ adapts to a wide range of interior palettes – from bold, contrast-led schemes to lighter, more restrained spaces.
Its form is intentional without being dominant, making it appropriate for projects where hardware is expected to complement rather than compete with architectural detailing.
OBLIQ represents a considered balance of design clarity, sustainable material choice and independently certified performance – suitable for modern architectural specification.
